The traditional candle lighting ceremony at a Bar or Bat Mitzvah involves the lighting of 13 coming-of-age candles as well as a l4th candle for good luck. To add to the ambiance and contain dripping wax, place the glowing tapers in candle holders around the celebratory cake.
